An Editor’s Advice

let me come close to a poem

on a page, a company of

white words (a woman faking

love scene to a camera and

too many retakes) the power

of repetition is your privilege

should also pare down silence

let's not use quotes inside

we are all serving a purpose

to the language after it exploded

on our palate; ever after soirees

of soul at haunts, beeches, beds

love needs more than limbs, and

don’t take this to your heart,

a manuscript neatly tied

comes up with heartbreaks

some insinuations.
